Week #10

Once again I have no pictures to show (I should have some next week). They have been doing a few things on my parents house like preparing the house for the stucco. I also noticed today that they had cleared out the garage and have started to work on the inside a little bit with putting up the doors and starting with the trim and the shelves in the bedroom closets. I did take pictures of all of that and I'm sure there will be more pictures to take by the end of the week, but since I am playing catch up and this is for week #10, I am not going to post the pictures I took until week #11.

Week #9

I don't have a whole lot to report on this week and I have no pictures (which is a first) The only work that has really happened to my parents house is the stairs being built in their garage and they have also delivered all of the inside doors and trim, baseboards, railing, etc. When they were down here this last weekend, they were able to meet with the guy who is going to install all of their blinds and they were also able to meet with the landscape company to tell them how they want their yard. Other than that, my parents house really hasn't been worked on in 2 weeks. Oh, and we have also had 10 days of rain out of the last 2 weeks. Such fun!!! Hope to have some pictures to to post next time.

Week #8

It has rained pretty much everyday here in Utah since last Sunday. I have only been to my parents house once this last week and that was on Thursday. Their lot is a muddy mess. I was lucky to get the pictures that I got. From what I can tell, they have finished mudding and taping the inside and have also done some texturing on the walls and ceiling, so now it is ready for paint. They have also finished roofing the house and the brick work is all done. I love the color of brick that my parents picked out. I also got a picture of the view that they will have from their Living room and Dining room windows. It was a rainy day with low clouds, but I think you can get the gist of it. Til next time. Enjoy the pictures!!

Week #7

Well, once again a lot has happened on my parents house. They have now finished sheet rocking the entire house. They have also finished the first layer of taping and mudding the sheet rock with one more layer to go. The front porch has also been poured as well. They have also been bricking the house and they are either behind on their work, or they enjoy working on Saturday's because they were out bright and early this morning (Sat.) working on the brick. The shingles have also been delivered and they will probably do the roof next week. As you can see from my pictures, the house is moving right along. We have enjoyed watching the progress of my parents house and it will be exciting when it gets finished.

Week #6

A lot has happened on my parents house this last week. It has been moving along like crazy!! I can't believe how fast a house can be built and everything that goes into building a house. When we built our house in Perry 7 years ago, it took 6 months for them to build it and I don't remember everything it took for them to build it, so it's kind of fun to watch my parents house go up. With it being down the street, we are able to see it every day and usually we will walk to it several times a week to take pictures and to see what has been done on it during the day.

Last week they were able to finish the plumbing (the have all of the bathtubs installed) and they got all of the electrical stuff done on the inside and outside. They also wrote on the outside of the house the color and height of where the brick and stucco will go. Oh, and they also installed all of the windows in the upstairs, but not the downstairs yet. They have the 4 outside doors delivered, but they are just sitting in the garage for now waiting to be installed. They have done more this week, but I haven't taken any pictures of the new progress, so I will wait until Week #7 to post the rest of it. Enjoy the pictures.
